On May 18, 2010 a delegation of the Ministry of Commerce of China led by a Commercial advisor of the European Department Li Jingyuan arrived in the Republic of Belarus for negotiations on mutual investments. In particular, the Chinese party is considering a possibility of creation a special industrial zone in Belarus, where high-tech Chinese and Belarusian-Chinese production units will be allocated.
On May 19, 2010 representatives of the delegation visited the Mogilev FEZ. The Chinese guests became acquainted with investment opportunities of the Mogilev FEZ, studied land sites suggested for creation of the industrial zone, and also had a sightseeing tour over the city.
Reference: By the current day China have already established 12 industrial zones in foreign countries, including 2 zones on the territory of Russia.
