Mogilevkhimvolokno was registered as a resident of “Mogilev” FEZ on March 31, 2008 with an investment project in the sphere of chemical production. It is the only major producer of dimethyl terephthalate, PET polyester granulate, including food grade, polyester fibers and yarns in the Republic of Belarus, and the main supplier of raw materials for light industry - the largest branch of the national economic complex of the Republic of Belarus.

Mogilevkhimvolokno belongs to city-forming enterprises of Mogilev and has all the required infrastructure for operation of a large production complex as well as the skilled personnel and personnel training systems.

A distinctive feature of the company is uniting of the plants bound by the technological cycle into the integrated facility - starting from raw materials (dimethyl terephthalate, polyethylene terephthalate) production to end products (fibers, yarns, nonwoven materials of various assortment and application) manufacturing.

The manufactured products comply with the world quality standards and are in great demand: over 65% of the manufactured products are exported. The products are exported to more than 30 countries of the world including the Russian Federation, Ukraine, China, USA, Germany, Italy, Poland, Romania, Lithuania, Latvia.

Main products and their application:
- Polyethyleneterephthalate is used as a raw material for production of polyester fibers and yarns, food packaging, magnetic tapes, photographic films, condenser films and other technical materials;
- Polyester fiber and harness are used for production of fabrics mixed with cotton, linen and wool, non-woven materials, artificial fur and leather, and paper. Technical polyester yarns are used for manufacture of technical fabrics and reinforcing structures in composite materials;
- Polyester fabric for roofing materials is used as a base in production of roofing materials;
- Polyester non-woven needle-punched fabrics are used as a base for linoleum, tufted and carpet coverings, for industrial filtration of air, gas and liquid from mechanical contami-nation;
- Biaxially oriented polypropylene film is a packaging material used in food, haberdashery and other industries;
- Polyethylene co-extrusion film is used as a packaging material, in agriculture is used as a translucent coating for greenhouses as well as for manufacture of bags and liners;
- Polyethylene terephthalate strapping tape is used for cargo strapping;
- Preform polyethyleneterephthalate bottles are used for making bottles;
- Pressure fire hoses.
